Call for 2025-2026 First Exchange Online Applications

Online applications for the Exchange programs for the 2025-2026 academic year will be available from December 9th, 2024 (10:00 am) to December 23rd, 2024 (4:00 pm) 16:00.
Information Sessions for Exchange Programs will be on December 5th (Online) and December 18th (In-person). Information will be announced on the website (intl.bogazici.edu.tr).
IMPORTANT NOTES
- You can apply via BUIS / ÖBİKAS.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least two semesters, and graduate students must have completed at least one semester at Bogazici University (excluding English Prep. and remedial semesters).
- A minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 for undergraduates, and 3.00/4.00 for graduate students.
- In order to be able to apply to a specific partner university, the student must satisfy all of the requirements specified by that partner (such as language and GPA).
- The student must continue to be a student at Bogazici University at least for one more semester (excluding summer terms) after returning home from abroad.
- Please visit the “Exchange Partner List for 2025-2026 AY” and read the "Notes, Criteria and Areas" carefully, and make your choices accordingly.
- All applicants who submit their applications are assumed to have approved the application commitment which is shown on the application page on ÖBİKAS. (Please read the commitment form.)
- Due to unforeseeable circumstances caused by the updates that host institutions make, mobility numbers and semester preferences may change during the application and placement sessions. Please be reminded that this may cause the loss of placement.
- Please check the Host Institutions’ application requirements beforehand as they have the right to update their requirements.
- If you would like to review your application, you should check the "Exchange Partner List for 2025-2026 AY " again. The List is still being updated.
- In case you change your department at Bogazici Univesity and its timing coincides exactly with the application process, it will cause the cancellation of your placement.
- If you previously participated in an Exchange Program, you can apply again; however, 10 points will be deducted.
- You can participate in the Exchange Program maximum of 2 semesters in total, either in the same academic year or the following years at the same academic status.
- If you participate in a 1-year Exchange Program, then you will not be able to apply for Exchange Programs furthermore.
- For 1 year programs, please select the Fall term.
- After you sign the letter of commitment, if you revoke your application, 10 points will be deducted for your next Exchange Programs application either in the same academic year or the following years.
- This application period and the aforementioned rules are only for Exchange agreements. Erasmus Applications are planned to be opened in February.
- If you do not have a BUEPT result, please send your IELTS / TOEFL results after you complete your application (even if you sent it to us in previous applications).
- After your first BUEPT results, if you increased your BUEPT Grade, please send it after you complete your application (even if you sent it us in previous applications).
- Universities in the UK and Switzerland are considered our Exchange partners; therefore you can select them in Exchange applications instead of Erasmus applications.
- No grant will be given for Exchange Programs.
- Students who plan to go to Switzerland should get information about the grants provided by the government of the institution they are planning to go to.
- In April 2025, it is planned that there will be another Exchange application only for Spring 2026.
- If you sign the letter of commitment for Spring 2026, then you will not be able to select the Spring term in Erasmus applications. Also, you will not be able to apply for the Exchange applications in April 2025.
- If you sign the letter of commitment for Fall 2025, then you will not be able to select the 2025 Fall term in Erasmus applications.
- After returning from the Exchange program, students are required to be enrolled at Boğaziçi University at least one more semester, excluding summer school, and will continue their education by taking courses. The senior students are required to confirm to study at Boğaziçi University for at least one more semester after the return through a note by their academic advisors.
