Call for Applications: Shimonoseki City University Graduate School of Economics (Master's Program), Japan – 2027

Boğaziçi University students are invited to apply for the 2027 Graduate School of Economics (Master's Program) Special Selection for Exchange and Partner Universities at Shimonoseki City University (Japan).

This special admission scheme is open to students graduating from Shimonoseki City University's partner institutions and offers an excellent opportunity to pursue graduate studies in Japan.

Application documents must reach Shimonoseki City University no later than 5:00 p.m. (Japan Standard Time) on August 28, 2026.

Important Notes

  • There is currently no quota limiting the number of applicants that Boğaziçi University may recommend. All applications will be evaluated individually through the university's selection process.
  • The Letter of Recommendation must be issued by the the Dean of the applicant's faculty.
  • Students admitted through the Special Selection for Exchange and Partner Universities are eligible for a full tuition waiver in accordance with the current admission guidelines.
  • Applicants are expected to demonstrate Japanese language proficiency. If an official Japanese language certificate is not available, Boğaziçi University may issue a certificate confirming that the applicant possesses sufficient Japanese proficiency to undertake graduate-level coursework and research supervision in Japanese (approximately CEFR B2 level or above). No specific template is required for this certification.
