Indiana University – International Summer Undergraduate Research Program (IU-ISURP)
The eight-week IU-International Summer Undergraduate Research Program (ISURP) invites high-achieving undergraduate international students in STEM fields to gain hands-on research experience while living on campus at IU Bloomington.
Students can apply through the online application. They must note on their application which lab they are most interested in. Professors will then select which student(s) they think will be the best match for their lab. Indiana University will match students with faculty, process J1 visas for selected students, provide housing and meal cards, and offer some group meals and local excursions. Selected students are expected to cover their airfare, their visa fees (~$300), and their mandatory health insurance while in the United States (~$300).
Please check the website HERE for lab descriptions, online applications, and other information.
Program Dates: July 4, 2026 - August 29, 2026.
Application Dates: November 17, 2025 - January 16, 2026.
