Utrecht Network Young Researchers Grant

The Utrecht Network Young Researchers Grant is designed to promote and further enhance the Network’s support to students and staff as well as broaden mobility between the Network’s institutions.

Within the framework of the Young Researchers Grant up to 10 scholarships of €1000 each will be offered to students who might not be eligible for other scholarship programs such as ERASMUS+ (e.g. length of stay is under 3 months).

The Utrecht Network Young Researchers Grant is for self-organized mobility at one of the 32 Utrecht Network partner universities in 28 countries. For a detailed list of partners, please visit: http://www.utrecht-network.org/our-members/member-contact-information/

The grant is limited to thesis research on the masters or Ph.D level. While students are allowed to take courses as well, priority is given to “research-only” Ph.D students.

Prerequisites:

  • Masters/Ph.D level
  • Length of stay: 1–6 months (mobility is not restricted to semesters, but may also take place during the holidays)
  • Students who are eligible for an ERASMUS grant cannot apply for this grant

Period of Mobility

The period of mobility must be between 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018

Grant:

  • €1000

Application documents:

  • YRG Application Form
  • Letter of Recommendation from supervisor/program coordinator
  • Letter of Acceptance (by an academic supervisor/coordinator at the host institution)

Application deadline:

15 February 2017 (Network universities may set a different internal application deadline, so students should check the deadline with their Network representative at their home university).

All application documents must be submitted to the Utrecht Network representative at your home university.
